About the project
How has modern history been like in every aspect of human culture?
How have the previous few decades influenced the actual decade we’re living in?
This virtual museum takes a look back at the period between the years 1945 and 2000. A period between the end of a war and the start of a new millennium.
A period where history, music, sports, cinema and every aspect of human culture was at its fullest.
Change was nonstop, conformity and progress were promising, and war and conflict were unsettling.
Step into this time machine as we reprise where we were, to understand where we are, and stop to think about where we might be in the far far future.
About the curator
My name is Sebastian Diaz. I’m a 14-year old Mexican boy from Mexico City. I love spending time with my family. My hobbies include writing stories, dancing to music, surfing the Internet, and watching TV. I have a dream of becoming a famous filmmaker, and getting my name known in the social media is the perfect way to get started. I have a passion for history; the pace of human change has greatly accelerated this last years. I created this page to share my passion for history with everybody else and get a sense of conscience so that people understand the world they’re living in. I personally believe that trying to understand history is like trying to read at book: When you lean a book close to your face, the letters are blurry, and the book is hard to understand. But, if you lean the book away, put in on a table, or in your lap, the letters are clear, and the book makes sense. Similarly, to understand current history, we need to step a few decades back. Only by knowing the past does the present make sense. And, luckily, this virtual exhibit will help people get a clear vision of the amazing book that is world history. I’m Sebastian Diaz, and I welcome you to…the postwar world.
